Family Report

We praise God that our family has been weathering the Covid 19 storm with grace, and even joy!

Amy’s job with an optometrist has been curtailed; but the practice obtained a small business loan, so Amy continued to receive her salary! Glory! Clark completed the semester’s work toward his Master’s degree in English online—and made all A’s! He will be working on his thesis this summer.

Our biggest prayer request is for Norm, hospitalized for 6 days with a blood infection and cellulitis in his leg. He has been transferred to rehab for physical therapy to regain mobility and strength. Please pray for rapid and complete healing.

Moye continues to work at Penn State Children’s Hospital’s Pediatric Clinic. Nearly a month ago, she was exposed to a Covid patient, but tested negative!  Praise the Lord! Lavon and Preston have worked steadily throughout the crisis. Because she is a hairdresser, Preston’s wife Courtney has been out of work for weeks, but is drawing unemployment.

Grant completed his semester at Liberty University online, finishing with a 4.0 grade average! He has been blessed with a great job with Federal Express. Carson has completed his senior year at Warwick High School; but since he was not a fan of school, he doesn’t mind the lack of prom, official graduation ceremonies, and senior activities. He just happily keeps busy with his job at a local grocery store.

Wayne and I rejoice in God’s goodness to all our children and grandchildren, and we are proud of their accomplishments. We’ve enjoyed spending many hours together in our new home. Recently,     I (Ruth) made a nine-minute piano Facebook video; and I have been overjoyed to receive so many kind remarks—and requests for more.  (Hopefully soon!)

God faithfully is sustaining us with His presence. We sorely miss our church family and activities, but we hope soon to join in corporate praise and worship with the family of God! Blessings and much love…
